ask yrself this: what is real? go outside, go on an adventure, be spontaneous, give up material possessions, open yr mind, see reality.

we are now a caravan of eight plus two canines. i said good-bye to the trees that held my hammock, the lake that grounded me and as much family that was tucked in the forest that i could find. let’s see where the road takes us!

‘What made the vagabond so terrifying was his apparent freedom to move and so to escape the net of the previously locally based control. Worse than that, the movements of the vagabond were unpredictable; unlike the pilgrim or, for that matter, a nomad, the vagabond has no set destination. You do not know where he will move next, because he himself does not know or care much.’

(from later that other night):

we (k, j and i) spent all day running around like head-less chickens, surrounded by food for the rainbow family and ate very little. as i was sitting inside walmart, right by the exit with our shopping cart, waiting for the guys to grab the coffee they forgot to get, a young dark- skinned momma handed me three bucks “here, just take it, i wish i could help more”. i could only smile and thank her as much as i could. five minutes later, while the guys were on line, she walked towards me again, straight from the atm and slipped me a twenty. i hugged her and thanked her endlessly.

she took care of us after we spent the entire day buying, carrying and sorting through a week’s worth of food for the rainbow family. now we can kick back, hug and enjoy the two pies of pizza that that kind woman gave us.

(the change went towards tipping a random delivery woman we bumped into at the pizza shop. have fun and spread the love darlings!)

Just found your blog. I don't mean to be too personal so just ignore this if you're not comfortable answering. But I saw you were born deaf so I'm curious. Do you lip read? Use ASL? Do you speak orally? When you are hitchhiking, how do you communicate?

@lubriciosity

Yes, yes and yes. Sometimes I speak, sometimes I use gestures / ASL, sometimes I use pen and paper. Whatever I feel like doing at that particular moment!
And darling, don’t worry: I like to help people understand more about deafness for it spreads positive awareness. So please ask away!

(Have a beautiful day!)

I am high on love.

this sun: found a raccoon skull with five teeth (including a k9), stuck a big-ass feather in my hair and bought two hundred dollars worth of produce from local farms at the flea market (round one). also currently being pushed in a sam’s club cart on round two for meat, sugar and butter. all the food is for the hungry homeless hippies dwelling in the forest. i must be doing something right with my life.
